The kitchen is dominated by two large islands topped with Portugese Roja Caliente marble below suspended halos of halogen lights which span the fourth brick cupola in the Great Room. Flanking the islands are eight foot high door panels concealing the working parts of the kitchen and, when closed and not in use, create an elegant bar area for the ultimate cocktail party. The eye travels through another skylight atrium to the center courtyard and, in the opposite direction, to the sea.
